Coded (Digital) Mechanical Locks
- They do not require batteries or power supply to work.
- Very reliable and virtually maintenance free.
- May need lubricating every couple of years especially if fitted outside.
- Changing code requires disassembling lock.
- Only one code can be programmed
- Code is not order specific so entering 4321  and 1234 and 3214  will open the lock.

Electronic Coded  Locks
- Those require batteries to work.
- Punching in codes is much smother and faster.
- Codes can be changed/added/deleted without disassembly.
- Multiple codes can be programmed.
- Codes are order specific. So code 2701 is always 2701.
- Any electronic devices may fail without warning so having key
  on site (usually in external mini key safe) as backup is strongly advisable

CL100 Digital Coded Lock

.This lock is best for light, low security applications in places where it is used not very often  as it's small external handle may be annoying if needed to be used often.

Code: Can be changed but disassembling is necessary.

Code free entry: NO
Hold back : NO

Application like one above but in places where it will be used more frequently as it has proper full sized handle

Heavy Duty Coded Door Lock CL300

Cost =  £165 (Installation + lock)

Code: Can be changed but disassembling is necessary.
Batteries required: NO
Code free entry: YES

This is heavy duty lock but it does not have key override so I would discourage clients to put it on communal front door to properties like blocks of flats.

It can be programmed on the door. There is no need to take it off like in case of mechanical locks. It also has key override so it is safe to put it on main communal door to the property.
