VIDEO DOOR BELL INTERCOM ONLY (NO LOCK RELEASE)

1) Estimated video intercom installation cost:

Intercom only (Intercom without remote lock release) = £260

This estimate is based on following assumptions:
- Door Panel will be fitted by front door to the building
- Cables will be clipped to skirting boards / walls.
- Handset is within 20 meters from the door
- System is powered from plug-in power supply, plugged into power socket.

2) Electric lock release connection:

  It is possible to link this system to electric lock release but extra cost
  (depending on type fo door and existing lock)  = +£160 up to +£250

3) Warranty - 1 year

4) NOTES:

This is budget item I picked up from Amazon and did some testing on it.
Below there are my observations.

Positives:
- Price. It is quarter of makes like VIDEX, FERMAX, BPT etc.
- It is wired system so no need for internet nor monthly subscription.
- Item has fairly solid feel .
- Monitor is made of ABS plastic.
- Door panel is full metal.
- Picture is surprisingly crisp and clear.
- Voice quality is fairly decent.

Negatives:
- One way speech:  You and visitor can not talk simultaneously.
- Camera angle:      90 degrees from left to right (so not very wide)
- Night vision works OK but switches to black and white mode,
  //By comparison RING doorbells have 160 degrees angle of view//
- It works well as doorbell only but not really good as full door entry system.
